USA – Apptopia, a Boston, MA-based real-time competitive intelligence company, closed a $20m financing.
The round was led by ABS Capital Partners with participation from existing investors Blossom Street Ventures. The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach. Founded in 2011 by Eliran Sapir, former CEO who is transitioning to chairman of the board, and former COO Jonathan Kay, who will take his place as CEO, Apptopia enables brands to analyze critical signals on their competitors across mobile apps and connected devices. Brands and financial firms use the platform to generate insights across mobile apps and connected devices. Powered by machine learning technology, the company collects and analyzes billions of complex data points to surface critical business signals. Brands including Google, Visa, Coca-Cola, Target, Zoom, NBC, Unity Technologies, Microsoft, Adobe, Glu, Andreesen Horowitz and Facebook use it to understand consumer behavior and intent across app-based devices. The company recently launched a mobile intelligence app in the Bloomberg App Portal on the Bloomberg Terminal, enabling traders, investors, portfolio managers, and chief investment officers to access and analyze mobile app data directly within the Bloomberg Terminal.23/05/2021
