Dryad Closes €10.5M in Series A Funding

GERMANY – Dryad, a Berlin, Germany-based provider of solar-powered environmental sensor networks for ultra-early wildfire detection and forest monitoring, raised €10.5M in Series A funding.

The round was led by eCAPITAL with participation from Toba Capital, Semtech and Marc Benioff’s TIME Ventures.The company intends to use the funds to scale its team, accelerate its go-to-market strategy around the world. Led by CEO Carsten Brinkschulte, Dryad is an environmental IoT startup that provides solar-powered environmental sensor networks for public and private forest owners to monitor, analyse and protect the world’s largest, most remote forests. The company has spent more than two years developing its end-to-end Silvanet® ultra-early wildfire detection and forest monitoring system, which incorporates low-cost sensors, solar-powered LoRa® based mesh networking infrastructure and a cloud analytics platform.23/08/2022
