Accenture is to Acquire Insitum

MEXICO – accentureAccenture (NYSE:ACN) is to acquire Insitum, a Mexican service design and strategic research firm focused on innovation through a human-centered approach.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including antitrust clearance. Once it is completed, Insitum will be part of Fjord, Accenture Interactive’s design and innovation unit.Accenture Interactive provides leading brands with connected offerings in design, marketing, content and commerce. The combination will expand its presence in the Latin American market, especially in Mexico, where Insitum is headquartered and will give Fjord a presence in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, while strengthening its existing operations in Brazil by adding talent and capabilities.Founded in 2003 and led by Luis Arnal, partner and CEO, Insitum provides multinational organizations, including Bancolombia, BBVA, CEMEX, Grupo Bimbo, Roche and Uber with solutions combining design thinking methods with behavioral science, ethnographic research and business strategy to solve key innovation challenges.

It has more than 200 designers, researchers and strategists across Latin America, Europe and U.S. with headquarters in Mexico City and additional studios in Barcelona, Bogota, Buenos Aires, Chicago, Lima and São Paulo.The deal is a part of a series of actions that Accenture Interactive has taken to strengthen its commitment to Latin America, including the acquisitions of Brazil-based marketing agencies AD.Dialeto and New Content.
