USA – SendBird, a San Mateo, Calif. – based interactions API service for mobile and web applications, acquired Roundee.io, a San Jose, California-based provider of an enterprise video conferencing platform.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed. Roundee’s core technology will be used to advance its recently introduced SendBird Calls product, an API to quickly build and embed voice and video interactions into any app. Led by Sunghyuk Kim, CEO, Roundee developed an enterprise-class, web-based video conferencing app designed to facilitate official video discussions and online group meetings via a virtual interface. Led by CEO and Co-Founder John S. Kim, SendBird provides APIs for organizations of all types to add in-app chat with voice and video capabilities to their offerings in a short period of time. Its Software Development Kits (SDK) and API, front- and back-end technology allow businesses to launch a customized in-app messaging experience quickly, efficiently and at scale.
