USA – RapidSOS, a New York-based emergency response technology company, raised $21m in funding.
The round, which brought total funding to $107m, was led by Transformation Capital with participation from C5 Capital, Laerdal Million Lives Fund, and existing investors. Led by Michael Martin, CEO, RapidSOS has developed an emergency response data platform, which links life-saving data from more than 350 million connected devices and mobile apps directly to 911 and first responders, sharing real-time information such as a caller’s name, location, and opt-in health information. The company intends to use the funds to extend its work with current 4,700+ public safety agencies globally – providing health, connected building, wearable, telematics, and other data to first responders to empower faster and smarter emergency response. 10/06/2020
