USA – Riders Share, an Austin, Texas-based peer-to-peer motorcycle sharing platform, raised $2M in Series A round of financing.
The round was led by LiveOak Venture Partners of Austin, Texas. David Stewart, Venture Partner at LiveOak Venture Partners, will be joining Riders Share’s Board of Directors as part of this financing. The company intends to use the funds for the acceleration of product development and to scale up customer service and marketing. Launched in 2018 by Guillermo Cornejo, Riders Share is an online marketplace where people can rent motorcycles from other people. The company leverages machine learning to screen and vet riders before allowing them to rent on the platform. The company has now served over 10,000 unique customers and listed over 10,000 motorcycles for rent on its platform. Riders Share has also added Jose Valera, former Moovel CEO, as Head of Operations. 01/07/2020
