The amount of the deal was not disclosed. With Setter, Thumbtack will introduce a personalized maintenance services for homeowners across the U.S. The company can now offer any homeowner the opportunity to plan, budget, and complete the right home maintenance projects while providing savings and convenience and will get access to a talent pool in the tech community in Canada. Thumbtack homeowners will receive a virtual home consultation led by a home care expert. During this video consultation, homeowners will share the condition of critical parts of their home including roofs, heating and air conditioning systems, plumbing, windows, doors and more. Following the consultation, a dedicated home specialist will use data-driven insights to develop personalized plans that homeowners can easily and use to complete both urgent repairs and seasonal maintenance projects. Led by Marco Zappacosta, co-founder and CEO, Thumbtack is a local services marketplace helping customers find and hire skilled professionals. Its app intelligently matches customers to electricians, landscapers, photographers and more with the right expertise, availability, and pricing.
