USA – Lucra Sports, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based new social-first sports gaming platform, raised $1.6m in seed funding.
The round was led by Raptor Group, along with Toy Ventures, Milwaukee Bucks owner/Avenue Capital founder Marc Lasry, and American professional tennis player John Isner.The company intends to use the funds to develop an iOS app in time for the 2021 NFL season kickoff.Founded by CEO Dylan Robbins in 2019, and led by COO Hannah Farr and CTO Ed Psyk, Lucra Sports is a peer-to-peer sports gaming platform that allows fans to compete with their friends. Designed primarily to facilitate social interactions within its community, Lucra enables users to create customizable touch player vs. player contests to send to a friend, group, or the Lucra public feed. The funding round follows a successful beta launch in 37 states in January 2021.04/05/2021
