ISRAEL – Salt Security, a Palo Alto, CA and Tel Aviv, Israel-based API security company, raised $140m in Series D funding.
The round, which brings total funding to $271 million and the valuation to $1.4 billion, was led by CapitalG, with participation from all existing investors including Sequoia Capital, Y Combinator, Tenaya Capital, S Capital VC, Advent International, Alkeon Capital, and DFJ Growth. The company will use the additional capital to expand R&D investment, fuel sales and marketing, and grow its international operations to address the growing number of cyber threats targeting APIs.Founded in 2016 by alumni of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and serial entrepreneur executives in the cybersecurity field and led by Roey Eliyahu, CEO, Salt Security protects the APIs that form the core of every modern application.
