USA – WiredScore, a New York-based company setting the global standard for technology in the built world through education and certification via WiredScore and SmartScore, raised $15M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Beringea with participation from Cushman & Wakefield, Crow Holdings, and Taronga Ventures, in addition to core returning investors Fifth Wall, Bessemer Venture Partners and Jona Capital. The company, which brought total funds raised to date to $28m, intends to use the funds to further expand its geographic footprint across North America and APAC. Led by CEO Arie Barendrecht, WiredScore is the organization behind the WiredScore and SmartScore certifications, internationally recognized digital connectivity and smart building rating systems for real estate, helping landlords design as well as promote buildings with digital connectivity and smart capabilities. The company partners with +900 of the world’s renowned real estate leaders, including Hines, Related, Nuveen, Greystar, SLGreen, Tishman Speyer as well as PGIM, certifying their premier assets’ digital infrastructure and smart building tech. The company entered into the multifamily market in June 2021 with the launch of WiredScore Home in North America, helping residential developers and owners improve and bring greater transparency to connectivity in their buildings. In addition, the company has expanded into 13 new countries, boosting its presence across Northern and Central Eastern Europe as well as debuting in APAC with the opening of its Singapore office. Most recently, WiredScore launched its Accredited Professionals Program within North America and the UK with companies including CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, Lendlease as well as Savills. The program, which equips individuals with the skills needed to best advise their clients on delivering connectivity and smart tech, currently boasts in excess of 650 professionals from over 275 companies.29/06/2022
