TextExpander Raises $41.4M in Funding

USA – TextExpander, a San Francisco and Menlo Park, CA-based developer of productivity software, raised $41.4M in Funding.

The round was led by Summit Partners.The company intends to use the funds to support continued investment in R&D, hiring and customer acquisition, and will further accelerate its rapid growth.Led by CEO J.D. Mullin, TextExpander develops productivity software for macOS, Windows, Chrome, iPhone, and iPad. The company’s productivity software is designed to automate content creation through user-defined keyboard shortcuts, or “snippets”, helping management teams to promote consistent and compliant communications. From small teams to enterprise-wide deployments, users leverage TextExpander across a variety of job functions and use cases – from customer support to recruiting to outbound sales – and counts many high-growth technology, healthcare and consumer companies among its customers. The solution can be used across applications, from email and calendars to popular software applications like Salesforce and Zendesk. Today, the company has more than 100,000 monthly active users (MAU) who have employed 560 million expansions in the last year alone.J.D.
