USA – Classiq, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based leader in quantum computing software, raised $13m in expansion of its series B round which now totals $49m.
Canadian-Israeli VC Awz Ventures made the investment, which follows an initial closing of $36m.The company intends to use the funds to grow its R&D team (to increase from 50 to 100 workers in 2023), and expand near-term in Japan and Europe, opening local offices in the next months.Led by Nir Minerbi, Co-Founder and CEO, Classiq is a quantum software company whose software is built for organizations that want to jumpstart and accelerate their quantum computing programs. The patented software automatically converts high-level functional models into optimized quantum circuits for most quantum computers and cloud providers. The company, which has raised $63m since its 2020 inception, also forged new partnerships this year with Amazon, ColdQuanta, and NVIDIA.
