INDIA – Wootz.work, an Indian startup that has developed a sourcing platform for custom engineering equipment and solutions, raised approx. $3.5m in seed funding.
The round was led by Matrix Partners India and Nexus Venture Partners with participation from AdvantEdge and Mars Shot Ventures, as well as several angels including Ramakant Sharma, Sanjiv Rangrass, Vikrampati Singhania, and others. The company intends to use the funds to build the team, expand its development efforts and the business reach and set up offices in the US and UK during thies year.Founded in March 2023 by Karan Anand and Himanshu Uniyal, Wootz.work aims to streamline the cross-border buying experience for light engineering products through technology and ownership of the process from design to delivery. The solution links buyers with sellers directly to products and solutions. The technology can instantly tailor products, contextualizing existing SME capabilities for the buyer’s unique requirements.23/08/2023
