ITALY – Aindo, a Trieste, Italy-based generative AI startup which has developed and patented synthetic data generation technology, raised €6M in Series A funding.
The round was led by United Ventures, with participation from existing investor Vertis SGR through the fund Vertis Venture 3 Technology Transfer. The company intends to use the funds to grow the team by 10 more employees across Marketing, R&S and Sales in the next 12 months, and continue developing solutions that facilitate the use of artificial intelligence in sectors such as healthcare, finance, and public administration.Founded in 2018 by Daniele Panfilo (CEO), Sebastiano Saccani (Head of R&D), and Borut Svara (CTO) – Aindo is a startup of the SISSA (International School for Advanced Studies) which aims to enable artificial intelligence to add value to society while respecting rights and freedoms. Synthetic data represents a new technological paradigm: it is completely artificial and has the same statistical properties as real data, but with no sensitive information and, therefore, capable of protecting privacy. Its synthetic data generation technology is already widely applied, from improving predictive analysis of pharmacological therapies in rare diseases to optimizing patient care in a hospital setting, to monitoring remote healthcare by anticipating potential risk situations.18/10/2023
