ITALY – Dreamfarm, a Parma, Italy-based food tech startup, raised €5m in funding.
Backers included experienced entrepreneurs Giampaolo Cagnin and Francesco Mutti. The company intends to use the funds to expand operations, its business reach, and its develoipment efforts. Founded in 2021 by Maddalena Zanoni and Mattia Sandei, and CEO Giovanni Menozzi, Dreamfarm created and launched a plant based alternative to mozzarella in governing liquid and spreadable versions, both nutriscore A, starting from the fermentation of almond paste through proprietary selected cultivations. Now, Dreamfarm aims to extend its range of products to plant based cheese. The company has already used part of the investment to build a productive facility in Sala Baganza (Parma) featuring equipment to optimize its unique and IP covered manufacturing process. 06/11/2023
