CANADA – Bold Commerce, an Austin, TX and Winnipeg, Manitoba-based ecommerce technology company that powers anywhere commerce for the world’s leading omnichannel retailers and emerging DTC brands, closed its $27m USD ($35m CAD) Series B funding round.
The round, which brings total equity funding to $44m USD ($57m CAD), was led by Omers Ventures with participation from Whitecap Venture Partners and Round 13 Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Omers Ventures’ Partner Laura Lenz will join Bold Commerce’s Board of Directors. The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations (hiring more than 100 new team members in Austin, Winnipeg and across North America in key software engineering, sales, marketing, and partnership roles) and its business reach, as well as to advance the platform. Led by Yvan Boisjoli, Co-Founder and CEO, and Odus (Boogie) Wittenburg, COO, Bold Commerce provides a modular suite of checkout, subscriptions and price rules solutions that extend ecommerce platform capabilities for omnichannel retailers like Vera Bradley, Harry Rosen, Staples Canada, as well as emerging DTC brands, such as Pharell Williams’ Humanrace and Pepsi’s Game Fuel. The company, which currently works with more than 90,000 brands in over 170 countries, will be expanding its network of payments, tax, fraud, order fulfillment and marketing partners into a comprehensive marketplace of plug-ins and pre-built integrations that solve for every aspect of the transaction experience.
