USA – Impervious Technologies Inc., a Los Angeles, CA-based developer of a Peer-to-Peer (“P2P”) internet standard, closed its seed financing round of undisclosed amount.
Backers included Bitcoin and privacy-focused investors including CoinShares, NYDIG, Trammell Venture Partners, Fundamental Labs, Strategic Cyber Ventures, TEN-31, XBTO Humla Ventures Fund, Jungle Boys Capital, Bitcoiner Ventures, Lightning Ventures, and Lightning Labs.The company plans to use the funds to scale it team across engineering, mobile and Bitcoin ecosystems and develop more user-friendly products – including a mobile browser and a new suite of applications on top of the Impervious browser.Led by Chase Perkins, Founder & CEO, Impervious Technologies In late 2021 launched a series of APIs that serve as a programmatic layer for the Bitcoin Lightning Network, adding Peer-to-Peer communications and data transfer capabilities to the real-time payments protocol of the Bitcoin Lightning Network.The Impervious Browser, set for release in Q2 2022, provides an entire suite of P2P tools that help to mitigate censorship and surveillance controls.18/04/2022
