USA – Polco, a Madison, WI-based provider of a data-driven civic participation SAAS platform, raised $14M in funding.
The round was led by Mercury Fund with participation from BAT Ventures and Royal Street Ventures.The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth, expand operations, team and products.Led by CEO Nick Mastronardi and CTO Alex Pedersen, Polco provides community engagement and analytics solutions that enable government leaders to make informed decisions. In conjunction with the fundraise, the company is releasing a new platform featuring enhanced community performance analytics and insights capabilities. Polco recently joined leaders in local government, data science, and performance measurement to found Government Partnership for Action and Learning (“GPAL”). The company will integrate into GPAL and be the platform for communities to access and interact with GPAL’s uniform performance measurement system to improve the quality of local governance and community livability across the nation.Polco serves a base of customers of more than 1,400 local governments and municipalities, including Fort Collins, Colorado; San Jose and Sacramento, California; Honolulu, Hawaii; Jupiter Beach, Florida; Oshkosh, Wisconsin; and many others.03/10/2022
