UK – Spotta, a Cambridge, UK-based smart pest detection tech company, raised £3M in funding.
The round was led by The Yield Lab, STIHL Ventures, and ACF Investors. Early investors Martlet, Wren Capital, Remus Capital, and business angels from Cambridge Angels and Cambridge Capital Group have also continued to invest in this round and Growthworks has joined as a new investor. The company intends to use the funds to continue its international expansion in agriculture, forestry and horticulture. Led by Robert Fryers, CEO, Spotta is a company which specializes in pest management tech. Founded on expertise in advanced sensing technologies, its monitoring systems use IoT hardware and smart algorithms, prioritising detection and prevention. The systems are used by multiple European governments, operating in over ten countries within forestry, agriculture, and commercial buildings. 15/12/2023
